STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIPS
The Equus & Equestrian Sport
Foundation (EESF) is fortunate to be surrounded by a plethora of
local, regional, and nationally recognized Horse Shows. We view
these shows as venues to showcase talent, giving horses and riders
at all levels, an opportunity to demonstrate courage, confidence and
excellence – in a competitive setting.
EESF is dedicated
to develop and support talented riders and horses, from schooling
shows to rated shows locally, regionally, nationally and
internationally. Therefore we have begun to form Strategic Alliances
to promote and reward excellence in competition, consistent with our
Mission and Vision.
Our first three
partners are; The Hampton Classic, NEDA (New England Dressage
Association), and LIDCTA (Long Island Dressage and Combined Training
Association). Next year we hope to work with HITS, Devon, PA Horse
Show, Washington Horse Show, The National Horse Show, the Olympics,
and others.
We have one of the
most acclaimed horse shows in the world, right in our own back yard,
The Hampton Classic, and that’s where we started. EESF will sponsor
a Dressage Exhibition, by Liz Austin, on Opening Day (8/26/07), a
$10,000 Scholarship to the Grand Prix Winner on Closing Day
(9/2/07), and provide a booth for the week to promote the
Foundation, and sell Pony Tales and Starhorse Supplements.
At NEDA, EESF
provides $10,000 of scholarships, spread among the winners of the
Young Rider Divisions (3), and we will have a presence at Saugerties
in September, with a booth and presentation at the Award Ceremonies.
For
LIDCTA, EESF will provide $10,000 of scholarships, spread among the
winners of High Point Divisions, and we will participate in the year
end ceremonies.
During our first
four years, we have provided more that $250,000 to support training,
show fees, and travel. Half of our funds go to
beginning/intermediate competitors, and half to
advanced/international competitors. EESF serves as a feeder/farm
system, and a matching service for sponsors and riders. We know this
is just a drop in the bucket for what’s really needed, but we are
just getting started.
The goal for our
10th Anniversary (2013) is to begin to award $10million
annually, and you are invited to participate in this noble cause.
This is not a drop in the bucket. We’re on a mission, and we
encourage you to join us.

Partners provide the venue for talent to exhibited, and EESF is
dedicated to inspire excellence at all levels – A Winning
Combination – one that encourages horses and riders to be and do
their best, at all levels of competition.
