Group Membership Organizations (GMOs)

   GMOs – The USDF has approximately 130 affiliated dressage clubs, or Group Member Organizations (GMOs), across the United States and Canada. These clubs submit their membership rosters to the USDF office. By joining your local GMO, you automatically become a group member (GM) of USDF.

GM benefits include:

  •   USDF Connection – USDF’s members-only magazine;
  •   Yearbook issue of USDF Connection;
  •   Eligibility to participate in rider award programs;
  •   Eligibility to earn USDF University Program credit;
  •   Member-discount rates at USDF events .

  •   Eligible to compete at USDF-recognized/USEF-licensed shows.

        Once you become a LIDCTA member, our GMO number counts as your USDF number, with some restrictions. This link will provide you a chart to compare GMO membership against Participating or Business USDF membership. Basically, unless you are going for various USDF Year End Awards, then becoming a LIDCTA member will fulfill all your USDF requirements to compete in USDF recognized shows, as well as providing all the other benefits of joining the USDF.
